WRAP UP: January 2016

Hello February! January was so good to me. I was in Philippines for vacation until mid-last month so I managed to read 5 books. Yes, I’m celebrating for 5. I’m a slow-reader, so it’s an achievement. Haha!

Well, let’s take a look back to those precious babies that I have been with last month and my two cents.

The Princess Diaries 3: Third Time Lucky by Meg Cabot

Funny and easy to read. I feel like I’m teenage again.

Rating:

3-2

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng

I can’t find correct words for this book because I’m not sure if I understand the whole story well.

Rating:3-2

Love The One You’re With by Emily Giffin

I’ve been wanting to read the books of Emily Giffin ever since because of the titles and book covers. Haha! This is the first of her books I read… and man! I know I will fall in love to her story.

I love these lines.

“First of all, it’s impossible not to compare. When you go down a fork in a road, it’s impossible not to think about that other path. Wonder what your life could have been like…”

Rating:5-4

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

I have this book in my shelf for more than a year. I don’t know what I’ve been waiting for to pick it up and read. The story is well-written, easy to read. There are some pages that I find boring. But the twist of this book is really really shocking. Like, WHAT??? AM I READING THE CORRECT PAGE? I haven’t anticipate that one!

Rating: 3-2

Alamat ng Gubat by Bob Ong

First Filipino contemporary book I’ve read. Humorous book. When I saw this in bookstore, I thought it’s for children/young ones because of the title and colorful pictures but no, this was written-well for adults. I love how Ong illustrated the true color of Philippine society and politics in this story.

So, that’s it. How many have you read last month?

Happy reading!
